Get Clear on Your Plan
Most families begin here — a focused review and a written plan they can actually use.
Advocacy in Action
You don't have to walk into that meeting alone. Two levels of support depending on how much help you want.

Document Drafting
Single letters and documents drafted in your voice, grounded in NJ special education law. Delivered within 3–5 business days.
When You Just Have a Question
Not every situation needs a full engagement. Sometimes you just need a fast, expert answer.
Ongoing Retainers
For families navigating complex disputes, multi-year situations, or ongoing IEP changes — a relationship, not a transaction.
Sliding Scale & Pro Bono
Every NJ child deserves an advocate. We reserve a limited number of engagements each year for families with demonstrated financial need — and there is no shame in asking.
Sliding-Scale Eligibility
Available to families with NSLP eligibility, SNAP enrollment, or attestation at or below 200% of the federal poverty line. Reduced fees apply across most services. Ask during your discovery call — there is no shame in asking, and access matters.
Good to know
- All sessions are virtual via Zoom unless arranged otherwise.
- In-person meeting attendance available across New Jersey. First 30 miles round-trip included; $0.70/mile beyond. Out-of-county engagements may require a half-day minimum.
- Payment is due before service begins. Major cards and ACH accepted.
- Standard Retainer has a 4-month minimum; Premium Retainer has a 6-month minimum. Both go month-to-month thereafter.
- Rates are subject to change; quoted rates are honored for the duration of the engagement.
- This rate card is a service description, not a contract. Engagements begin upon signed engagement letter and payment of the first invoice.
- The Empowered Parent provides educational advocacy and consulting services as non-attorney advocates. We do not practice law, provide legal advice, or represent clients in due process hearings or before any court or tribunal. We prepare families to participate effectively in the IEP process and refer to NJ-licensed special education attorneys when legal representation is appropriate.
